What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at our 17 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your Lobo card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes may be used at select dining locations on central campus or give you access to our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, La Posada!
Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars may be used at any UNM Dining location, including your national and local favorite eateries. All meal plans come with dining dollars and can be reloaded at any time. Dining dollars do not expire between Fall and Spring semesters as long as you purchase a plan for both semesters; in this case, unused balances will expire at the end of the Spring semester. Meal Exchange
Along with using your meal swipes at La Posada, you may also use one meal swipe as a meal exchange at select locations across campus. See below for the locations you can use your meal swipe/meal exchange at.
- LaPo To-Go - Use a meal swipe and our reusable containers to take out from La Posada.
- The Market at SRC - Located in SRC Commons, this location offers a selection of ready to eat favorites.
- Union Club - Use your meal plan inside the SUB at this made-to-order location.
- Einstein Bros. Bagels - Meal plan holders may use a meal swipe for a select menu at this national brand.
Guest Meals
Guest passes allow you to bring a guest with you into the La Posada Dining Hall. Each time you bring someone without their own meal plan access into La Posada, your guest pass balance will be reduced by one. You may visit La Posada by using a meal swipe or by paying the door price with dining dollars, LoboCash, credit, or debit card.

Managing Your Plan
There are three ways you can check your Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars balance:
- On the Grubhub app
- On your receipt after a purchase at any dining location
- Visit the meal plan office in the Student Union Building Suite 1077, MSC03 2205 1 University of New Mexico Albuquerque, NM 87131, Monday-Friday 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
